Md Abdullah Al Masum is a graduate student in Biology at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) with academic and professional expertise in pharmaceutical technology, quality systems, GMP operations, and biological research. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from the University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh, where his research included novel formulations and targeted drug delivery systems. Prior to joining UTRGV, Masum accumulated more than a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including serving as Assistant Manager of Quality Operations at Novartis Bangladesh, where he contributed to regulatory compliance, auditing, validation, and data integrity activities. His current research investigates the biological effects of emerging pharmaceutical contaminants in aquatic organisms using histological, biochemical, and molecular approaches. He has authored 13 peer-reviewed publications, with nearly 85 citations. His broader research interests include drug development, molecular biology, pharmaceutical characterization, biotechnology, and environmental monitoring.
