Dr. Ryan Lerud is a physicist and spectroscopy expert with Process Insights, specializing in the development and application of advanced optical measurement technologies. He brings more than a decade of experience spanning spectroscopy, gas sensing, instrumentation, application development, product development, field service, and customer technical support.
Ryan earned his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Portland State University, where his research focused on electrochemical and optical sensing technologies. His expertise includes NIR and optical spectroscopy, chemometric analysis, process measurement, and sensor development across a range of industrial applications.
He is also an active author and technical presenter, including contributing a chapter on selecting process spectroscopy sample interfaces to Practical Quantitative Vibrational and Electronic Spectroscopy.
