Medrado Analytical Innovations, LLC
Medrado Michael Leal is the founder of Medrado Analytical Innovations, LLC and the developer of MAI-Alchemy, an analytical data platform for hydrocarbon analysis. His goal is to provide innovative solutions to complex problems. He is an analytical instrumentation chemist with 33 years at the bench, and has held roles across petrochemicals, refining, and research at Chevron, ExxonMobil, Caleb Brett, and Inspectorate. His specialty is analytical method development, with recent emphasis on method development for the LUMA detector from VUV Analytics. The MAI-Alchemy platform is the subject of a filed U.S. provisional patent. He co-chairs the December 2026 ASTM D02 workshop Artificial Intelligence Applied to Hydrocarbon Analysis and ASTM Test Methods with Frank DiSanzo (ExxonMobil).
