The Founder & President of QIA
Wali Alam is a seasoned expert with over 54 years in the manufacturing industry, specializing in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality Systems. After joining Lloyds Register in 1992 to focus on ISO 9000, he founded the Quality Institute of America (QIA) in 1994. QIA has since grown internationally, offering Quality, Safety, and Environmental consulting. Wali also led the development of QISS QMS, a groundbreaking QHSE workflow software. Since 1983, he has held leadership roles in professional groups including the Association for Information Systems, the Institute of Industrial Engineers, and ASQ—where he served as Houston Section Chair and Conference Chair. As QIA’s President, he continues to help organizations enhance efficiency through integrated systems and decades of industry insight.
