Biography for James Pachlhofer, Technical Sales Specialist – GC and GCMS, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Austin, Texas James is truly an industry veteran with over 40 years direct experience. Starting in the lab when the US was landing men on the moon at Johnson Space Center, Houston, he has seen the tremendous evolution of analytical instrumentation over the years. Most of his commercial experience has been involved with Gas Chromatography, first with Varian instruments as a sales professional. He then moved into marketing and product management and eventually the Manager of the Custom Solutions Team. After Agilent acquired Varian, James then moved to Bruker Daltonics with the Varian GC products as a sales and technical support manager. James moved to Thermo Fisher in 2015 as a Business Development Specialist and his team developed a complete portfolio of GC based analyzers. As the business grew significantly, Thermo Fisher recently moved James into a new position as a Technical Sales Specialist focused on supporting Thermo Fisher Account Managers and their customers utilizing GC and GCMS products. James has a Batchelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of Houston and lives in the Burnet, TX area
