Amey Gonzalez is an R&D Lab Chemist with Lummus Technology in Pasadena, Texas. She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Stephen F. Austin State University and an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Her work focuses on analytical chemistry, method development, and characterization of petroleum, petrochemical, and sustainable feedstock-derived products. Current research interests include GC-MS method development, oxygenate characterization in waste plastic pyrolysis oils, and trace contaminant analysis. She is an active member of the American Chemical Society and is, once again, a student currently pursuing additional studies in mathematics.
