2026 - Chimauchem Odinaka

Graduate Student
Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, The University of Texas at Arlington

Chimauchem Valentine Odinaka is a Ph.D. researcher in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Texas at Arlington. His research focuses on developing sensitive, practical, and cost-effective analytical methods for detecting per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in environmental and biological samples using high-resolution Orbitrap mass spectrometry. His current work also explores PFAS retention mechanisms, electrospray ionization signal enhancement, and gestational exposure to PFAS. He has more than four years of previous professional experience spanning analytical chemistry, environmental services, chemical process operations, and the energy sector. His research interests center on developing analytical approaches that improve the detection and understanding of environmental contaminants and their potential effects on human health.
