Irene Pena is a Supervisor at the Lummus Technology laboratory, where she spends her days supporting engineering teams through analytical data and problem-solving. A strong believer that technology should make life easier, Irene has incorporated AI into everything from instrument troubleshooting and SOP writing to creating complicated Excel spreadsheets that track finances. Today, she shares her experiences applying AI in real-world environments and the lessons learned about when to trust AI, when to verify it, and when to keep both hands firmly on the wheel. So far, its troubleshooting advice has been more successful than its hairstyle suggestions.
