2026 - Omobayo Salawu
Senior R&D Lab Chemist
Lummus Technology
Omobayo Salawu, Ph.D. is a Senior R&D Scientist at Lummus Technology, where his work focuses on PFAS analysis, wastewater characterization, and treatment evaluation for complex industrial and landfill leachate matrices. He develops and verifies LC–MS/MS methods, including EPA Method 1633/1633A workflows, and supports method optimization, quality control, and data interpretation for PFAS occurrence and treatability studies. Dr. Salawu earned his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, with prior graduate training in Environmental Science. His research background spans emerging contaminants, PFAS fate and transport, adsorption, waste-derived treatment materials, and advanced analytical method development. He has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and technical presentations on PFAS in water and wastewater systems, with emphasis on translating analytical results into practical treatment and source-control decisions.
