Process Insights
Ryan Lerud is a product manager for Process Insights, where he specializes in optical absorbance spectroscopy, including FTIR, NIR, and UV/VIS. Throughout his career, he has supported various aspects of the business, including field service, application science, new product development, and technical sales. Ryan holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Portland State University. His doctoral dissertation, titled "Sensors and Portable Instruments for Postharvest Agriculture," focused on improving the accuracy and reliability of sensors for the fresh produce industry. Dr. Lerud has contributed a chapter titled “Considerations When Selecting a Sample Interface” in the upcoming book Practical Quantitative Vibrational and Electronic Spectroscopy.
