Marla Gilbert is a senior R&D technician for The Dow Chemical Company for 8 years. Before joining Dow, she was a high school chemistry teacher for 6 years. While working for Dow, she has developed numerous gas chromatography methods implemented in manufacturing product quality labs. She has oversaw the implementation of methods in external manufacturer for Dow. She has worked with new technology: VUV detector, LUMA detector and the INTUVO 9000. She is Six Sigma yellow and green belt certified. She has been the recipient of the R& D Technologist of the Year award in Texas Operations.
