Wei Sen Wong received his Ph.D. from Northeastern University under Professor Barry Karger in 1978. He immediately joined Shell Development Company and was in charge of the GPC laboratory for more than 18 years. He then worked for Viscotek/Malvern till 2016. He acquired the DSV (Dilute Solution Viscometer) line from Malvern and established Houston MJ Associates to continue sales and service of this very important traditional polymer viscosity measurement technology. Some DSV users may know that Wei Sen actually purchased the very first DSV from Viscotek back in 1984 while working for Shell. It is interesting that Wei Sen would eventually acquire the entire DSV product line some 30 years later. His latest interest is the introduction of a new generation of particle sizing instruments to broaden the impact of Houston MJ Associates polymer characterization capabilities.
