Sofia Nieto has obtained her Ph.D. in biochemistry from UC Davis in 2007. Soon after completing her Ph.D. she joined a startup company Codexis, Inc. where she was developing metabolomics platform using both GC/MS as well as LC/MS approaches. In 2011, Sofia has joined Agilent Technologies, Inc. as a GC/MS applications chemist for GC/Q-TOF. Since then, she has been working on developing various applications for GC/Q-TOF in the areas of Metabolomics, Food Safety, Flavors and Fragrances, Environmental and Forensics.
