Formal Education: PhD from Williams College,  Dr. Linda Kidder graduated from Williams College with a B.A. in Chemistry, and she chose to pursue physical chemistry, receiving her Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University. Following her post-doc in the Laboratory of Chemical Physics at NIH, she co-founded Spectral Dimensions, to commercialize Raman, NIR and FTIR spectroscopic imaging techniques. This company was bought by Malvern Instruments, where she honed her skills in Product Management, and ultimately became Senior Scientist of the Malvern Bioscience Development Initiative. After a year as Vice President of Market Development at BrightSpec, a startup focused on chemical identification of complex mixtures, she returned to vibrational spectroscopy as Product Manager of Molecular Spectroscopy at Shimadzu Scientific. She is now Strategic Product Leader at Shimadzu, working to capitalize on its diverse product lines to address the complex needs of today’s customers.
