Formal Education or Training: PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Doug is trained as an analytical chemist (Ph.D., UT-Arlington 2014) specializing in chromatography method development for complex mixtures, predominantly applied to environmental applications. Doug currently is the Project Manager of the Collaborative Laboratories for Environmental Analysis and Remediation (CLEAR) at UTA. Responsibilities include overseeing public engagement, new lab technology assessment, and development of methods for soil, water, and other matrices related to environmental and industrial products. Since 2011, he has spent his time developing, applying, and training with these methods as the field has grown.
