Dr. Schomburg received his B.S. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and Ph.D. from Louisiana State University. At LSU Dr. Schomburg performed scientific research specializing in analytical electrochemistry and nano-scale molecular spectroscopy of surface confined structures. After graduation, Dr. Schomburg was employed by ATMI then Columbian Chemicals. At Columbian Chemicals, Dr. Schomburg was laboratory manager providing testing service for both the analytical and oil analysis labs. Currently, Dr. Schomburg is a field application specialist for PerkinElmer providing training and technical support to the PerkinElmer sales team, service engineers and customers in the fields of thermal analysis and molecular spectroscopy.
