Dr. Cheng obtained her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry in 2009 at University of Georgia and B.S. in Chemistry in 2003 at Peking University in Beijing, China. Her graduate work was focused on the development of an isobaric labeling method (QUIBL) by LTQ-FTICR MS for identification and quantification of glycosylation changes in stem cells for biomarker discovery. In addition, she performed shotgun proteomics of Botrytis cinerea by SDS-PAGE separation and ESI-LTQ-MS analyses. Dr. Cheng joined Ecolab as a Principal Chemist in Diagnostic Solutions– Chromatography Group in Oct. 2014. She supports product residual analysis and research/customer projects using both LC-MS and GC-MS in support of offshore and onshore assets.
