FID Innovation for CO and CO2 detection

Abstract:
CO and CO2 are common impurities in gaseous fuels and hydrocarbon products. The typical approach for analysis is using a methanizer with a flame ionization detector (FID). The analytical capabilities of the Jetanizer with the FID 1.0 on the Shimadzu GC-2050 and the Jetanizer with the new FID 2.0 on the Shimadzu GC-2060 for fast analysis of the CO and CO2 impurities found in hydrogen and ethylene using nitrogen carrier gas are demonstrated.
