Abstract:

A reproducible, low-intervention quality control (QC) pipeline accelerates method validation and routine monitoring for comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC) systems. We present an automated workflow for a GCxGC platform using an InfoMass modulator and JEOL quadrupole mass spectrometer. Separation performance and system repeatability are evaluated using a standard mixture. First, a reference template is automatically established. Library searching and AI-assisted scripting generate a custom spectral library, establish retention-index calibration, and determine initial retention-time locations without requiring prior chromatographic knowledge. Computer-vision-based peak identification and match-factor scoring then verify target compounds, monitor retention-time and response drift, and generate structured QC reports.
