Abstract:

Selecting the right measurement technique is often the biggest challenge in flow analysis. This workshop surveys the full range of viscosity and rheology testing — benchtop and process viscometers, rolling-ball, rotational and kinematic viscometers and on to oscillatory rheometers — with a focus on how each technique works and where it fits.

Attendees will learn how to match measurement geometry, sensor type, and testing mode to sample characteristics and application requirements, along with practical considerations around calibration, repeatability, and compliance with industry testing standards.

Using real-world examples from QC and R&D environments, the session will help attendees build a practical framework for choosing the right technique and instrument for their specific measurement challenge — moving beyond a single number to full flow characterization.
