Abstract:
Polymer-grade propylene requires extremely high purity, as trace levels of propylene oxide can negatively impact polymerization catalysts. This presentation describes a GC-PDHID method capable of measuring propylene oxide at sub-ppm concentrations directly in a high-purity propylene matrix.
The method also detects H₂, Ar/O₂, N₂, CH₄, CO, and CO₂. Results will be compared with our RCP PP1 analyzer, which measures H₂ and CO at ppb levels, highlighting the capabilities of each approach for feedstock quality verification.
