Abstract:
| As industrial process environments demand higher throughput, lower maintenance overhead, and tighter data integrity, the micro Gas Chromatograph (GC) has evolved from a laboratory staple into a critical process analytical tool. This presentation highlights the advanced process capabilities of the Agilent 990 Micro GC Prostation, focusing on key architectural integrations designed to maximize uptime and simplify operations. We will demonstrate how native Modbus communications eliminate traditional hardware bottlenecks, enabling seamless bi-directional control, status monitoring, and real-time result reporting directly to Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLCs. Furthermore, we will explore the operational advantages of automated validation and calibration routines—ensuring continuous measurement accuracy while drastically reducing manual technician intervention. Finally, the presentation will showcase a major software integration spearheaded by Rapid Trace Solutions: bringing Diablo EZReporter capabilities directly into the Prostation ecosystem. Attendees will see how this integration simplifies complex mathematical post-processing, standardizes customized report formatting (such as natural gas composition and heating value calculations), and delivers automated, actionable analytical outputs directly to decision-makers. |
