Abstract:
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are widely used in food contact materials due to their oil- and water-resistant properties. While targeted LC-MS/MS methods can quantify specific PFAS, they may not capture PFAS precursors and other fluorinated compounds. ALS has developed a workflow to evaluate a combination of ion chromatography (IC)-based techniques as screening methods for TOF in food packaging and other consumer products.
