Abstract:
MICAP-OES 1000 plasma operates on industrial grade (99.998%) nitrogen and 1000 W power. The technology to create the stable plasma is called Cerawave™ which replaces the traditional electric water-cooled coil. MICAP-OES 1000 was utilized to determine elements in used and CRM Lubrication oils prepared with simple dilution with low odor kerosene. The method optimization included evaluation of Glass Expansion MicroMist 0.2 mL/min and 0.4 mL/min nebulizer. Method performance will be presented including stability, LOD, accuracy and precision.
