Abstract:
This presentation will introduce the SELECT SERIES MRT mass spectrometer by Waters Corporation and how it can be applied to polymer MS analysis using both matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) and electrospray ionization (ESI). The benefit that high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) provides for polymer characterization is the ability to make accurate mass measurements of monomers, oligomers, and end-groups that aid primary structure elucidation and confirmation. Significant advancements in time-of-flight (ToF) MS were recently introduced in the SELECT SERIESTM MRT, a next-generation quadrupole time-of-flight (QToF) mass spectrometer. The SELECT SERIES MRT is based upon multi-reflecting time-of-flight (MRT) technology.
