Abstract:

Removing moisture concentration levels down to ppm, ppb, and ppt levels is critical in many manufacturing, electrical, and medical processes. Moisture sensors can be used to determine if an environment is optimal for the process but calibrating the sensors with accurate moisture standards can be daunting. Water moves from areas of higher concentration (such as the atmosphere) to areas of lower concentration (such as the moisture standard) by permeation and diffusion. It is also a polar compound that sticks to almost any surface that has a charge. Creating a Moisture Standard can be done if approached correctly.
