With rapid technological developments and demands for higher productivity, laboratory workflow efficiency has become the standard criteria for many organizations. Glass pycnometry for density measurements is becoming outdated due to time-consuming preparation, cumbersome equipment, and error-prone results. Bitumen producers that use density analysis for quality control and formulation consistency are transitioning to gas pycnometry to save time and achieve high-accuracy test results. Groundbreaking innovation in density analysis featuring bi-directionality, built-in temperature control, touch screen interface, wide-mouth sample cells and disposable liners drastically increases sample throughput making gas pycnometers ideal for solid, semi-solid materials including asphalts and greases.
