Abstract:
Along with ever-improving sensitivity and performance of available analytical methodologies comes the challenge of lower and lower detection and quantitation limits. While hyphenated techniques present clear solutions to a variety of analytical challenges, this presentation is an example of how fundamental understanding of technology, appropriate flow paths, and column selection can achieve improved results. This is demonstrated by a method for identifying and quantitating extracted triethylamine from plastic film washes using a Dionex IonPac CS20 IC Column, achieving ng/L with suppressed conductivity detection.
