Abstract:
SCD’s are the “go to” for sulfur speciation since the mid 1990’s. Other sulfur detectors preceded them for sulfur speciation but had their own challenges. SCD’s address these challenges with superior linearity, equimolarity and detection limit with minimal matrix interferences. Because of SCD’s benefits, there are now three vendors with their own SCD on the market.
Lummus Technology has all three vendor SCD’s and 4 different models. This presentation will focus of comparing these four detectors, with the same sample sets and assess which one is more reliable, more stable and has better stability, including an insight of the reason these detectors behave as presented.
