Abstract:
Newly developed Optically Enhanced FTIR (OE-FTIR) technologies are lowering system sensitivities to levels never previously achieved by FTIR, parts-per-trillion measurements for certain applications. With the added sensitivity, detection limits for many applications are no longer dependent on the detector noise, but rather the spectral interferences. New technologies are also being deployed to eliminate or reduce this “spectral interference noise” by collecting pseudo-calibration data during sample data collection. The OE-FTIR and the spectral interference removal technology, along with process and environmental applications, will be presented.
