Abstract:
Detecting impurities is essential in producing high quality and safe petrochemical products. Impurities can be introduced through the supply chain in raw materials or as part of the production process. Regardless of their source the presence of these impurities can have a negative impact on operational efficiency and productivity as well as the quality of the final product. Because of this it is important to be able to identify these impurities and have the ability to measure them at low levels.
This talk will focus on the analysis of common impurities observed in the petrochemical industry using a new multi-channel vacuum ultraviolet absorbance detector called LUMA™.
