Abstract:
At the Lummus Technology Development Center, highly variable scaled-up pilot plant studies under process conditions place heavy demands on rapid, near-real-time analytical results. Lummus recently evaluated the dual spectroscopic technique developed at Spectrum which entails integrated co-linear FTIR and Raman scattering in a single device operating at 30 seconds. An application and analytical overview for Catofin process will be presented highlighting the successful installation and resulting process investigation and optimization.
