Abstract:
The analysis of polymers is critical to the production and quality assurance of a variety of products and materials. Historically, polymers analysis and molecular weight distribution was carried out using gel permeation chromatography, or GPC. In recent years, adoption of MALDI technologies has enabled fast, high throughput, and high accuracy analysis of polymers and plastics in various media while minimizing needs for instrument maintenance. In this presentation, we will highlight the power of using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry for polymers and plastics analysis and provide an overview of a unique polymers analysis software package.
