Abstract:

This training will provide an in-depth look into Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), and is relevant for users of any make and model DSC system.  This presentation seeks to de-mystify the process of selecting the right parameters needed to obtain reproducible, pristine data.

What crucible material and size should I use?  What heating rate is right for my sample?  How much sample do I need?  How should I prepare my sample?  What temperature range do I need?  Is temperature modulation right for my samples?  You should walk away from this training understanding critical-to-quality parameters of your samples, your system and your results.
