Abstract:
This novel ASTM technique uses a New Spectroscopic Technique for the measurement, grading and rating of the degree of a fuels or lubes Haziness or Clarity. This eliminates the subjective visual method which has been used in the fuels and lubes industry for decades. In addition, the propriatory Haze Clarity Index [HCI] enables a much more precise rating of a fuels or lubes Haze or Clarity compared to the current 1-6 visual scale.
