VUV Analytics
Alex Hodgson is the Applications Manager at VUV Analytics, Inc. In his 7+ years at VUV, he has been instrumental in research focused on fuels analysis, including ASTM D8267 (jet fuel), D8368 (diesel), and D8369 (VHA), as well as EN17734 (EU gasoline). He also leads the charge in the creation of the first ever ASTM method for recycled plastics feedstocks, D8519. Prior to coming to VUV Analytics, Alex was a member of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, where his research focused on tobacco exposure biomarkers. He earned a B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.S. in biochemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
