Joseph Romaniuk is a Senior Research Specialist in the Analytical Sciences group at the Dow Chemical Company in Lake Jackson, Texas. His expertise is in using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) to study polymers, including polyethylene, polyacrylates, and alkoxylated surfactants, with a notable specialty in using solid-state NMR quantitatively to understand the composition of fouling solids from chemical plants. Joseph Romaniuk has a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta, Canada and obtained a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Stanford University in 2019 for his work in using solid-state NMR to understand the composition and structure of bacterial cell envelopes.
