Ricky Frnka is a native Texan, born and raised in Bay City. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1980, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. He worked for the Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, TX, as a chemist in production laboratories from June 1980 until November 1997. Ricky started his career with Shimadzu Scientific Instruments in November 1997. In his role as Senior Technical Support Specialist, he provides training and application support to a variety of customers in multiple fields including manufacturing, environmental testing, food and beverage, nutraceuticals, petrochemical, academia and municipalities. These different sectors require a diverse array of instruments including liquid and gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, elemental spectroscopy with an emphasis on total organic carbon analysis, and molecular spectroscopy as well as specialized methods.
