Abstract:
The implementation of TD-NMR (Time-Domain NMR) allows for the fast and precise measurement of key properties of polymers in comparison to more manual centered techniques. Properties that indicate final product quality, catalyst functioning and process efficiency can be understood through this powerful technique.
This proposal endeavors to share an example of an analysis performed on polypropylene samples utilizing TD-NMR in order to determine xylene solubles. The principles of this technique coupled with the properties of the sample are presented. The basics of instrument setup and calibration will be presented as well.
