Abstract:
Halocarbon has developed a line of engineered fluids specifically for use in analytical chemistry. These fluids are based on Halocarbon PCTFE technology, making them non-flammable, nonreactive and safe. Halocarbon’s HDP-1112 fluid can help prolong gas chromatography columns, facilitating the safe and efficient removal of difficult sample remnants from GC inlets and columns. Halocarbon recently launched InfinX Calibration Fluid 0.8 as an ultra-low temperature bath fluid for use in thermometric sensor calibration. Similarly, other Halocarbon PCTFE fluids show no absorption of IR wavelengths between 4000 and 1300 cm-1, making them ideal for analyzing hydrocarbon based materials by IR analysis.
